About

This site has been established as a basic and visual tool for landscape architects and students therein to become more familiar with plants in the New Zealand urban, rural and wilder landscapes.

The intention is to broaden the palette of plant types and forms appreciated in NZ landscape architecture, as well as bringing about planting that is more intentional in its utilisation of the history, features and quirks of the tens of thousands of plants ready for the land canvas.

The search-tools and filters are unfortunately relatively restricted on this free-version website, but advice or ideas to work better within this are warmly welcomed, as with questions about specific flora whether already featuring on this site or not.
